Eagle Point Software Acquires Global eTraining To Expand Technical Workforce Learning Platform

Eagle Point Software, the Dubuque, Iowa-based developer of the Pinnacle Series applied learning platform, has acquired Global eTraining, an Alberta, Canada-based provider of online training for architecture, engineering, construction, and manufacturing professionals. The acquisition combines two organizations specializing in helping technical workforces develop skills and improve the adoption of industry software.

Global eTraining provides digital learning resources designed for professionals working with complex design, construction, engineering, and manufacturing technologies.

Eagle Point’s Pinnacle Series platform similarly focuses on training integrated into professional workflows, helping organizations develop the skills employees need for their daily responsibilities.

The combination will bring together the companies’ technology platforms, educational content, and expertise serving architecture, engineering, construction, operations, design, and manufacturing markets.

Eagle Point intends to use the acquisition to expand its learning capabilities and accelerate investment in new technologies that support workplace training.

The company believes organizations increasingly require more adaptable educational tools as software development, automation, and other technological changes reshape professional work.

Its Pinnacle Series platform provides a centralized environment for eLearning, skills assessments, personalized learning paths, organizational knowledge, and workflow guidance.

These capabilities are designed to help employers identify workforce skill requirements, deliver relevant training, and improve how employees use their existing technology investments.

Global eTraining adds experience delivering online educational programs tailored to technical professionals.

The companies share a focus on practical training connected to real-world projects rather than instruction disconnected from everyday work.

The acquisition is expected to provide customers with access to broader learning resources while supporting the continued development of training solutions.

It also combines organizations serving overlapping industries and professional communities, creating opportunities to coordinate product development and customer support.

Eagle Point CEO John Biver identified the alignment between the companies’ missions and customer service approaches as central to the transaction.

Global eTraining Co-Founder and Chief Customer Officer Susan Brattberg emphasized the opportunity to expand the company’s capabilities while maintaining its focus on helping customers develop and apply professional skills.

The transaction represents another step in Eagle Point’s investments in workforce development and technology adoption.

Sampford Advisors served as financial adviser to Global eTraining, with Bryan & Company providing legal counsel.

Ascentage Advisors advised Eagle Point Software, while Pierce Atwood served as its legal counsel.

The acquisition expands Eagle Point’s position in technical workforce education as employers seek tools that help professionals learn new software, improve productivity, and adapt to changing industry requirements.
