EagleNXT announced a $10 million strategic investment in ThirdEye Systems Ltd. and the formation of a new joint venture, ThirdEye USA, to expand counter-drone capabilities across North America.
The joint venture, based at EagleNXT’s headquarters in Allen, Texas, will develop and deliver counter-drone systems for the U.S. and Canadian markets. EagleNXT will hold a 51% ownership stake in ThirdEye USA, with ThirdEye Systems retaining 49%, and will control the majority of the venture’s board.
ThirdEye Systems specializes in electro-optical recognition and AI-driven counter-drone technologies, with systems deployed across fixed installations, tactical vehicles, and aerial platforms. Its solutions are designed to provide real-time detection, identification, and tracking of aerial threats in complex environments.
The partnership combines EagleNXT’s expertise in unmanned aerial systems, sensors, and deployment across defense and public safety sectors with ThirdEye’s advanced optical recognition algorithms. Together, the companies aim to deliver integrated solutions for counter-UAS operations, situational awareness, and target acquisition.
The new entity will leverage EagleNXT’s U.S.-based manufacturing, integration, and testing infrastructure to localize production and accelerate time to market, while ensuring compliance with domestic procurement and export requirements. The companies expect the joint venture to become operational by May 2026.
The move represents a broader strategic push by EagleNXT to expand beyond its legacy business into higher-growth defense and security markets, including counter-drone systems and advanced aerial intelligence solutions.
