Easterly Asset Management announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the fund management business of Olstein Capital Management, a value-focused investment firm founded by Robert A. Olstein. The transaction is intended to expand Easterly’s value-investing capabilities and to integrate Olstein’s mutual funds into Easterly’s broader investment platform.
Under the proposed agreement, and subject to shareholder approval, the Olstein mutual funds will reorganize into the Easterly fund complex. Going forward, the Easterly Snow investment team of Easterly Investment Partners LLC will assume management of the Olstein fund assets.
The firms said they share a disciplined investment philosophy centered on detailed analysis of cash flow, balance sheet strength, and downside risk. The integration is expected to combine Olstein’s long-standing value investing framework with Easterly’s investment platform and operational infrastructure.
As part of the transition, the Olstein Strategic Opportunities Fund will reorganize into the Easterly Snow Small Cap Value Fund. Meanwhile, the Olstein All Cap Value Fund will reorganize into a new series within the Easterly Funds Trust called the Easterly Snow All Cap Value Fund.
Olstein fund shareholders are expected to receive proxy materials ahead of a shareholder meeting scheduled on or about June 26, 2026, where investors will vote on the proposed fund reorganizations.
Easterly said the transaction will allow shareholders to benefit from the firm’s broader active equity platform while maintaining the investment discipline that has historically defined the Olstein strategy.
Easterly Asset Management, founded in 2019, provides investment solutions for institutional and private wealth clients across alternatives, active equity, and fixed income strategies.
