Easterly Asset Management announced it has completed its acquisition of Olstein Capital Management’s mutual fund business following shareholder approval on June 26, 2026.
The completed transaction adds $43.42 million in assets under management to the Easterly Snow Small Cap Value Fund and $465.28 million in assets under management to the Easterly Snow All Cap Value Fund, a new series of the Easterly Funds Trust.
The Easterly Snow investment team, a Strategic Partner of Easterly, manages the Easterly Snow Small Cap Value Fund and the newly formed Easterly Snow All Cap Value Fund. The team has managed the Easterly Snow All Cap Value strategy for more than 28 years, and the new fund launch broadens access to the strategy for a wider range of investors.
Easterly said the transaction supports its strategy of partnering with high-quality investment managers and expanding its platform across private markets, active equity, and active fixed income. The addition of the Olstein fund business also strengthens the firm’s value-oriented investment offerings.
In connection with the acquisition, two former Olstein Capital Management executives have joined Easterly. Eric Heyman, formerly President, Lead Portfolio Manager, and Director of Research at Olstein, has joined as Senior Vice President and will support client servicing. Mark Zichelli, formerly Vice President of Regional Sales, has joined as Vice President of Sales, supporting U.S. wealth advisory and RIA development.
Easterly said the addition of Heyman and Zichelli will help provide continuity for existing Olstein shareholders while further strengthening Easterly’s platform and distribution capabilities.
Easterly Snow is led by Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager Joshua Schachter, CFA. The team has an established track record of managing strategies across multiple market cycles and currently manages the Easterly Snow Small Cap Value Fund, Easterly Snow Long/Short Opportunity Fund, and several value-oriented strategies across market capitalizations.
