ECI Group, a fully integrated Atlanta-based multifamily real estate firm with more than 50 years of operating history and a portfolio of more than 7,500 units across the Southeast and Texas, has appointed Thomas Rowe as Chief Financial Officer. Rowe succeeds Ben Engel, who is retiring after a decade guiding ECI’s expansion, and joins as the firm continues to scale its development, construction, investment, and property management platform nationally.
Rowe brings more than 30 years of financial leadership experience spanning real estate development, construction and public-sector finance. He joins ECI after more than a decade as CFO at SJC Ventures, one of the nation’s largest developers of Whole Foods Market-anchored mixed-use projects, where he directed financial strategies for more than $1.4 billion in ground-up development across over 3.1 million square feet of retail, multifamily and mixed-use assets. Prior to SJC Ventures, he spent five years as Deputy CFO at Invest Atlanta/The Atlanta Development Authority, adding public-sector and economic development finance expertise to his background. Rowe began his career in public accounting after graduating from the University of Richmond and has held various senior finance positions throughout his career.
