ECI Software Solutions has acquired Prima Business Control Software, expanding its enterprise resource planning and e-commerce capabilities for office supply businesses. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Prima provides ERP and online commerce software designed for office supply dealers in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States.
ECI plans to integrate Prima’s technology stack and artificial intelligence capabilities into its end-to-end business management software portfolio.
The combined offering is intended to help independent dealers manage complex product inventories, fulfill orders more efficiently and respond to customers seeking faster and more seamless purchasing experiences.
ECI said office supply distributors are facing increased competition from large e-commerce businesses, tighter operating margins and higher expectations for immediate service.
Prima’s technology will strengthen ECI’s capabilities across ERP, e-commerce, operational workflows and customer service.
ECI provides AI-powered cloud software to more than 25,000 customers in over 90 countries.
Its products serve small and midsized companies across manufacturing, construction, field services and distribution and connect functions including sales, marketing, business intelligence, customer relationship management, analytics, e-commerce, payments and mobile applications.
