Ecovyst has appointed Laurie Bergman as Chief Financial Officer as the specialty chemicals company transitions financial leadership and continues pursuing its strategic and operational priorities.
Bergman’s appointment became effective August 24, 2026. She replaces Michael Feehan, who is departing the company.
Feehan is expected to remain an Ecovyst employee through September 30 to facilitate an orderly transition of his responsibilities to Bergman.
Bergman, 49, joins Ecovyst after serving as Chief Financial Officer of Legacy Food Group since July 2024.
Before that, she was CFO of Liquid Environmental Solutions from June 2021 through June 2024.
Her earlier experience includes serving as Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller and Vice President of Accounting at UGI Corporation from February 2019 until June 2021.
Bergman also brings public company board and audit committee experience.
She has served on the board of Arq since June 2023 and chairs its audit committee. She has also been a director of QNB Corp. since May 2020 and serves on that company’s audit committee.
Bergman earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration and an MBA from Temple University.
The appointment puts Bergman in charge of finance at a company operating across several industrial chemical categories.

Its regenerated sulfuric acid business serves the North American refining industry, including production of alkylate used in gasoline. The company also provides virgin sulfuric acid for industrial and mining applications and sulfur dioxide products serving mining, water treatment and specialty chemical production.
CEO Kurt Bitting highlighted Bergman’s accounting background and experience implementing growth strategies as the company works to advance its operational objectives and create shareholder value.
