Edelman Financial Engines (EFE), a leading independent wealth planning and workplace investment advisory firm, announced the appointment of Ralph Haberli as President, effective July 2, 2025. And he will report directly to CEO Jay Shah.
Haberli has expertise in the workplace ecosystem and a strong track record of building partnerships across the wealth planning landscape. And he also has a unique understanding of how RIAs operate, grow, and serve the needs of their planners and clients.
In his new role, Haberli will be leading EFE’s workplace, employee planning, and wealth planning businesses. And he will focus on enhancing the firm’s workplace offering, expanding advisor capabilities, and strengthening its national footprint. His extensive background in retirement, such as working with recordkeepers, plan sponsors, advisers, and consultants, will be especially valuable to the more than 600 large employers and 10 million employees EFE serves.
Haberli most recently served as President of the Institutional & Retirement Client Group at Capital Group, where he led a period of significant growth that brought the firm to a broader set of clients with an expanded set of capabilities and solutions. Prior to that, he held senior roles at BlackRock, including Head of U.S. Defined Contribution Distribution and COO of the Global Client Group. He also led strategy for Asia-Pacific iShares and began his career at Boston Consulting Group, advising top financial institutions.
Haberli holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a B.A. in History from Yale University.
