Edge Focus Completes $100 Million Consumer Loan Securitization Co-Sponsored By Nelnet Bank

Edge Focus has completed EDGEX 2026-1NN, a $100 million pre-funded asset-backed securitization supported by a portfolio of unsecured consumer loans. The deal represents the company’s fifth asset-backed securitization and expands its series of institutional consumer-credit offerings.

EDGEX 2026-1NN is the latest transaction completed through the company’s EDGEX securitization shelf. It follows EDGEX 2026-PT1 and EDGEX 2026-PT2, which Edge Focus announced in March 2026.

Edge Focus said the latest transaction reflects continued institutional demand for consumer-credit investments structured through its disciplined and risk-adjusted approach to loan selection, portfolio construction and ongoing monitoring.

The transaction was co-sponsored by Nelnet Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nelnet. It was placed with multiple institutional investors, including banks and hedge funds.

Edge Focus used its proprietary technology throughout the transaction. Origin, the company’s underwriting model, supported targeted loan acquisition and portfolio construction, while Lens, its portfolio analytics platform, is used for ongoing performance monitoring.

The two platforms are designed to help Edge Focus evaluate consumer-loan opportunities, build portfolios that match specific investment objectives and monitor the performance of those portfolios after acquisition.

By combining its technology with institutional capital, Edge Focus seeks to provide investors with access to consumer-credit portfolios while helping lending partners expand responsible access to capital for borrowers.

The completion of EDGEX 2026-1NN also demonstrates Edge Focus’ continued activity across the asset-backed securities market. With five securitizations completed, the company is building a recurring platform for connecting consumer loans with institutional investors.

The transaction follows other recent developments at Edge Focus, including a new partnership with a large private credit manager focused on consumer automobile receivables.

That partnership expands the company’s activity beyond unsecured consumer lending and into another major area of consumer credit. Together, the securitization and private credit partnership reflect Edge Focus’ broader effort to apply its underwriting, portfolio-management and analytics technology across multiple consumer asset classes.

Edge Focus provides technology, capital and access to consumer credit. Through its proprietary underwriting and portfolio-management software, the company works with lending platforms and private credit investors to create institutional-grade investment opportunities backed by consumer loans.

Nelnet is a diversified financial services and asset-management company with operations spanning loan servicing, payments, technology and other financial services. The company also invests in areas including venture capital, real estate, reinsurance and solar energy.
