EDGE Industrial Technologies has acquired Harvest Blade, a Salinas, California-based provider of industrial blade resharpening and supply services, expanding its presence in food processing and packaging.
The transaction adds Harvest Blade’s West Coast operations and nationwide resharpening capabilities to EDGE’s existing cutting solutions platform.
Harvest Blade provides industrial blade sharpening, replacement blades, and scheduled blade services for customers in food processing, packaging, printing, and converting.
The combination is intended to create a broader coast-to-coast blade resharpening network. Harvest Blade’s operations complement EDGE’s growing resharpening capabilities in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, giving the combined company the ability to service a wide variety of blades across the United States.
EDGE said the acquisition will enable customers to access blade manufacturing and resharpening services through the same platform while potentially improving blade life and turnaround times.
The acquisition also strengthens EDGE’s presence in food processing, one of the company’s targeted growth markets.
EDGE Industrial Technologies operates a portfolio of precision cutting brands including TGW, Pearl Technologies, Leverwood Knife Works, and Carbonomics.
The company manufactures, distributes, and resharpens machine knives, punches, and production-line components used across food processing, flexible packaging, plastic converting, blown film, and medical applications. Its operations extend across North America, Europe, and Asia.
EDGE is backed by Falfurrias Management Partners, a Charlotte-based private equity firm that has raised approximately $4 billion across eight funds.
Falfurrias focuses on growth-oriented middle-market businesses and provides portfolio companies with operational resources spanning strategy, finance, integration, human capital, and technology.
