EdgeCortix announced a new strategic investment from Axiro Semiconductor and MPower Partners, reinforcing its position in energy-efficient AI processing and advancing next-generation edge AI platforms.
The investment builds on the company’s previously oversubscribed funding round and aims to accelerate the development and commercialization of EdgeCortix’s platforms for generative and agentic AI applications, including its SAKURA-X chiplet-based architecture.
Axiro Semiconductor, a subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, joins as a strategic investor, bringing expertise in RF, millimeter wave, and advanced connectivity integrated circuit design. The partnership is expected to create opportunities to integrate EdgeCortix’s AI inference capabilities with next-generation wireless and telecom infrastructure, as well as applications across industrial systems, robotics, and defense.
MPower Partners participated as a financial investor, supporting EdgeCortix’s growth as a global deep-tech company aligned with environmental, social, and governance principles. The firm’s involvement reflects confidence in EdgeCortix’s focus on delivering high-performance AI with optimized power efficiency.
EdgeCortix is focused on enabling real-time AI inference at the edge through its hardware-software co-design approach, combining its Dynamic Neural Accelerator architecture with its MERA software stack. These technologies are designed to support a wide range of use cases, including aerospace, defense, telecommunications, smart infrastructure, and Industry 4.0 applications.
The company expects the new investment and strategic partnerships to expand its market reach, particularly in Japan, India, and other global regions, while strengthening its capabilities in delivering scalable, energy-efficient AI solutions.
Headquartered in Tokyo, EdgeCortix operates globally, focusing on advancing sustainable AI infrastructure that balances performance and power efficiency.
