EigenQ has appointed Mark Pecen as Vice Chairman and promoted Alexander Truskovsky to Chief Information Security Officer. The appointments were announced ahead of EigenQ’s proposed merger with Silicon Valley Acquisition Corp.
Pecen previously served as an EigenQ board member and strategic advisor. His background includes foundational work on GSM, GPRS, and EDGE at ETSI, along with contributions to 3G and 4G technologies at Motorola and BlackBerry. He co-founded the Quantum-Safe Cryptography Working Group at ETSI in 2013.
Truskovsky was promoted from Vice President of Cryptography. He will lead EigenQ’s information security strategy, cybersecurity governance, and security architecture while continuing to provide input on product design and customer requirements.
EigenQ has entered into a definitive business combination agreement with Silicon Valley Acquisition Corp. Upon completion, the combined company is expected to trade on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker symbol EIGQ, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
