Einride: $100 Million Raised For Scaling Autonomous Freight Ecosystem

By Amit Chowdhry ● Oct 6, 2025

Einride, a Swedish technology company transforming road freight with digital, electric, and autonomous solutions, has raised approximately $100 million in funding. The round includes contributions from both existing and new investors, led by EQT Ventures and an asset management firm based on the West Coast of the United States.

This funding will support Einride’s next phase of growth, including scaling its autonomous freight deployments, accelerating technology development, and expanding its customer base across global markets.

Founded in 2016, Einride has built a comprehensive freight ecosystem that combines one of the world’s largest fleets of heavy-duty electric trucks with advanced autonomous driving capabilities. Central to this system is Saga, the company’s proprietary planning and optimization platform. Saga integrates digital logistics planning with electric and autonomous vehicle operations, helping to solve persistent challenges in the freight industry such as fragmented supply chains, high emissions, and labor shortages.

The funding announcement follows a strong year for Einride, with net sales more than doubling in 2024. The company also expanded its operations into Austria and the United Arab Emirates, further solidifying its presence among global shippers in Europe and North America.

A portion of the $100 million includes an earlier investment from IonQ, a leading quantum computing firm. This partnership aims to develop quantum-powered applications for logistics, tackling complex problems that traditional computing struggles to solve.

KEY QUOTES:

“We believe Einride is building the most complete and forward-looking freight ecosystem on the market today. Nordic tech has a habit of being underestimated, until it quietly rewires an entire industry. That’s exactly what Einride is doing in freight.”

Ted Persson, partner at EQT Ventures

“I am excited and proud for the continued trust our investors have placed in us. This funding allows us to grow with our customer base and accelerate the deployment of our autonomous freight technology. It’s a strong signal of confidence in both our team and our unique position in the market.”
