Elbit Wins $228 Million Follow-On Contract To Supply Iron Fist Active Protection Systems For U.S. Army Bradley Upgrades

Elbit Systems said it has been awarded a $228 million contract from General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems to supply its Iron Fist Active Protection System for U.S. Army Bradley Fighting Vehicle upgrade programs. The company said the award follows a U.S. government publication dated September 29, 2025, referencing an order to GD OTS for the Bradley vehicle active protection system effort, and that Elbit’s portion will be carried out over three years.

Iron Fist is a hard kill active protection system designed to improve armored vehicle survivability by detecting and intercepting incoming threats before impact. Elbit described the system as compact, with low volume, weight, and power requirements, and said it provides 360-degree coverage in both open terrain and urban environments.

The company said Iron Fist is intended to counter a broad range of anti-armor threats, including anti-tank rockets, anti-tank guided missiles, unmanned aerial systems, loitering munitions, and kinetic energy tank ammunition. Elbit also framed the award as a continuation of earlier U.S. Army adoption, noting an initial contract announced on May 5, 2024, and calling the Bradley decision its third selection by the U.S. Army.

Elbit said Iron Fist has also been selected by the Israel Defense Forces and by multiple NATO and other armies for use across different platforms. Separately, the company reported revenue of $1.922 billion for the three months ended September 30, 2025, and an order backlog of $25.2 billion as of that date.
