Electro Switch Acquires E-MAX Instruments To Expand Substation Monitoring And Control Capabilities

Electro Switch, a manufacturer of engineered switches and related components for critical applications, announced it has acquired E-MAX Instruments, a provider of control and monitoring solutions for electrical substation equipment.

The deal strengthens Electro Switch’s position in the power, utility, data center, defense, and industrial markets by adding specialized technologies designed to improve the reliability and performance of electrical infrastructure. E-MAX, founded in 1975, is known for its trip indication relays, digital fault recorders, and battery monitoring systems tailored to utilities, municipalities, data centers, and industrial customers.

By integrating E-MAX’s offerings, Electro Switch is expanding its Power Switches and Relays business and enhancing its ability to deliver mission-critical substation panel components. The acquisition also broadens Electro Switch’s portfolio of engineered control and monitoring solutions for critical infrastructure environments.

Following the transaction, E-MAX will continue to operate as a brand within Electro Switch. Customers are expected to benefit from the combined company’s manufacturing capabilities, engineering resources, and expanded product portfolio.
