Electro Switch has acquired PowerComm Solutions, a provider of communications, monitoring and protection technology used in utility infrastructure. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
PowerComm develops and manufactures power line carrier sets, monitors and analyzers for utility transmission substation applications.
The company has served the utility industry for approximately 25 years, with technology designed to support grid protection and communications while providing visibility into transmission line performance and reliability.
The acquisition expands Electro Switch’s portfolio of mission-critical products used across power, utility, data center, defense and industrial applications.
Electro Switch plans to provide PowerComm with additional resources and investment to accelerate product development and commercialization, expand its portfolio and pursue additional opportunities in the utility market.
PowerComm is headquartered in Flemington, New Jersey, while Electro Switch is based in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
