Encoded Therapeutics Raises $275 Million Series F To Advance Genetic Medicine For Dravet Syndrome

Encoded Therapeutics has raised $275 million in Series F financing to advance ETX101 through pivotal development for Dravet syndrome and expand its precision genetic medicines pipeline for neurological disorders.

The financing was co-led by GV and another healthcare fund, with participation from ARCH Venture Partners, Braidwell, Farallon Capital Management, Illumina Ventures, Invus, Janus Henderson Investors, Matrix Capital Management, Nolan Capital, RTW Investments, SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Venrock.

The capital will support the pivotal study of ETX101 in infants and young children with SCN1A-positive Dravet syndrome, along with an expansion study involving children and adolescents up to age 18.

Funding will also support commercial-scale expansion of Encoded’s internal GMP manufacturing operation and the advancement of ETX301 toward a planned 2027 IND submission for post-amputation neuroma pain.

Encoded develops one-time precision genetic medicines for severe neurological disorders. Its vector engineering platform is designed to enable targeted and cell-type-selective control of gene expression across the brain and peripheral nervous system.

The company recently reported interim Phase 1/2 POLARIS data for ETX101 showing sustained reductions in seizure frequency alongside encouraging developmental gains.
