Engineering Resource Group, a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering consulting and design firm based in Mississippi, has received a strategic investment from private equity firm Godspeed Capital Management LP. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Godspeed said it will partner with ERG to make the company the platform brand for a new MEP-focused engineering, consulting, and design organization aimed at expanding across Mississippi and the broader Southeastern U.S. ERG will continue to be led by co-owners and principals Chad Moore and Jason Grossi, who will retain meaningful ownership, alongside long-time team members in key roles.

Founded in 1989, ERG provides building mechanical design, energy conservation and analysis, energy management, control system design, building operations and maintenance support, and system commissioning. The firm serves clients across education, government and defense, energy, healthcare, industrial, commercial and housing markets, and said it has built a portfolio of high-profile MEP engineering and design projects.

Godspeed described the deal as its 11th platform investment since launching in 2021 and said ERG becomes the fifth “leading brand” it has partnered with in engineering, as the firm continues building a broader set of services companies operating across public- and private-sector end markets.

Support: PSMJ Resources served as the exclusive financial advisor to ERG. Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz acted as ERG’s legal advisor, and Moore & Van Allen served as legal advisor to Godspeed.
