EngineersMind has appointed Damon A. Hagan as Vice President and Chief Legal and External Affairs Officer, adding the former Acting Solicitor of the U.S. Department of the Interior to its executive leadership team as the enterprise technology company expands across the United States, the Gulf, India, and Europe.
As Acting Solicitor, Hagan served as the Interior Department’s chief legal officer and principal legal adviser to the Secretary. At EngineersMind, he will lead the company’s legal function and external affairs, including strategic partnerships, and work directly with clients, government bodies, and partners across healthcare, insurance, financial services, and the public sector.
Before becoming Acting Solicitor in May 2026, Hagan served as the Department of the Interior’s Principal Deputy Solicitor. His earlier private-sector roles included President of Forward Truth Media Holdings, General Counsel for Bridge Business & Property Brokers, and Vice President of Corporate and Legal Affairs for Arrow Security.
Hagan has also built experience in corporate structuring, commercial litigation, municipal law, contract negotiation, renewable energy, grid resiliency, and environmentally responsible development. He earned his law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and has been a member of the New York and Nevada bars since 2004.
EngineersMind was founded in 2016 and provides enterprise technology to regulated industries including healthcare, financial services, insurance, and manufacturing. The company said Hagan’s appointment reflects a shift toward longer-term client relationships that increasingly involve governance, regulation, and strategic partnership issues in addition to individual technology projects.
