Entegris has appointed Qorvo President and CEO Robert A. Bruggeworth to its board of directors, effective August 3, 2026. The semiconductor materials and process solutions company also announced that Executive Chair Bertrand Loy retired from Entegris.
James F. Gentilcore, currently Entegris’ lead independent director, will become chair of the board following Loy’s retirement. The changes will bring the total number of Entegris directors to eight.
Loy’s departure concludes the company’s CEO succession process following Dave Reeder’s appointment as president and CEO in 2025.
Loy served Entegris for approximately two decades, including 13 years as president and CEO. During his tenure, the company expanded its position as a global supplier to the semiconductor industry.
Bruggeworth has served as president and CEO of Qorvo since the company was formed through the merger of RF Micro Devices and TriQuint Semiconductor in 2015.
Before the merger, he served as president and CEO of RF Micro Devices for nearly 10 years. He previously held several leadership positions during a 16-year career at electrical and electronic connection products supplier AMP.
Bruggeworth also serves as chair of MSA Safety and as a director of Qorvo and the Semiconductor Industry Association.
Entegris said Bruggeworth’s semiconductor, electronic connectivity, corporate leadership and board experience will support the company as it continues pursuing growth and expanding its global operations.
Entegris supplies advanced materials and process solutions to the semiconductor and other high-technology industries. The company has approximately 7,700 employees and operates manufacturing, customer service and research facilities across North America, Europe and Asia.
