EP Wealth Advisors has expanded its executive leadership team with the appointment of John McConnell as Chief Financial Officer and the promotion of Erin Voisin to Chief Client Solutions Officer. The appointments are part of a broader series of leadership, technology, and governance investments as the Torrance, California-based wealth management firm continues its national expansion.
EP Wealth reported more than $50.4 billion in assets under management as of August 31, 2026, serving over 25,000 clients across all 50 states. The firm has more than doubled in size since the end of 2023 and now employs more than 650 people, including 230 financial advisors, across 65 offices nationwide.
He most recently served as CFO of Crisp, a retail data platform, where he helped expand the company’s financial organization during a period of rapid growth and multiple acquisitions.
At EP Wealth, McConnell will oversee the firm’s financial operations, financial planning, resource allocation, and acquisition integration.
His appointment comes as EP Wealth continues growing through a combination of organic expansion and strategic partnerships with established advisory firms.
The company intends to strengthen its financial infrastructure to support additional acquisitions while preserving the local advisory relationships associated with its existing businesses.
Voisin’s promotion establishes a new executive position responsible for coordinating EP Wealth’s financial planning, tax, estate planning, family office, retirement plan, client service, and investment capabilities.
Having joined EP Wealth approximately a decade ago, Voisin has played an important role in developing the firm’s planning-focused wealth management model.
As Chief Client Solutions Officer, she will focus on making the company’s specialized services more accessible to advisors and improving coordination between different financial planning disciplines.
The appointments extend beyond the firm’s two newest C-suite executives.
Chrissy Quinn joined EP Wealth in July as Managing Director of Client Growth and Partnerships, following more than 26 years at BlackRock, where she most recently served as Head of Enterprise RIA.
Quinn will lead initiatives supporting advisor growth through referrals, professional networks, marketing, and custodian relationships.
EP Wealth also promoted Margaret Jarocki to Managing Director of Wealth Operations, expanding her responsibility for integrating newly acquired advisory firms and improving operational support throughout the organization.
In regional leadership, Mike Lay was promoted to Divisional Leader for the Midwest, while Doug Ireland joined as Divisional Leader for Southern California.
The appointments are intended to maintain local leadership and accountability as EP Wealth develops its national operating infrastructure.
Technology is another major component of the firm’s expansion strategy.
EP Wealth appointed Kate Middagh as Chief Information Security Officer, Uma Meyyappan as Managing Director of AI and Data, Elena Stebakov as Managing Director of Technology Product, and John Adams as Director of Advisor Technology.
The technology team is developing systems intended to improve data security, streamline advisor workflows, and reduce administrative tasks.
Current initiatives include the application of artificial intelligence and automation to meeting transcription, proposal development, customer relationship management, meeting preparation, and tax-related processes.
The company expects these capabilities to give advisors additional time to focus on financial planning and client relationships.
EP Wealth also expanded its Board of Managers with the appointments of Troy Stevenson and Doug Ketterer as independent directors.
Stevenson previously spent nearly a decade leading Global Customer Operations at Uber and held senior customer experience and strategy positions at eBay and Charles Schwab.
Ketterer founded Atria Wealth Solutions in 2017 and served as its CEO before its acquisition by LPL Financial in 2024.
Under his leadership, Atria developed a network supporting approximately 2,400 financial professionals and more than $100 billion in assets.
Before establishing Atria, Ketterer spent 25 years at Morgan Stanley, including senior leadership positions in wealth management.
EP Wealth’s management team will retain a majority of the seats on its board.
The firm is backed by Berkshire Partners and Ares Management and provides investment management, financial planning, tax planning, and estate planning services.
The leadership expansion is intended to support its continued acquisition strategy while strengthening its ability to deliver coordinated wealth management services to clients throughout the United States.
