Epiris: Mike Ebeling Joins Senior Investment Team

By Amit Chowdhry ● Apr 25, 2024

Epiris has announced the appointment of Mike Ebeling as a partner on its investment team. Ebeling will join the firm’s executive and investment committees and work with Epiris’ investment team to deploy Epiris Fund III, which held its final close in February with total commitments of £1.044 billion. The fund’s target was £850 million and oversubscribed at its hard cap.

Ebeling joins Epiris, having spent fifteen years at Goldman Sachs Private Equity, latterly as a Managing Director – which leads the firm’s investment teams in the DACH and Benelux regions. And he previously worked at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, and started his career at J.P. Morgan. Ebeling has an MBA from the University of Cologne and a Master’s in Economics from the University of Hagen.

Epiris focuses on identifying and resolving the complexities that hold businesses back, providing capital, and thinking about strategically repositioning businesses in terms of scale and growth. And it targets control positions in UK and international businesses with an enterprise value of between £75 million and £500 million, deploying between £40 million and £150 million of equity in each investment.

KEY QUOTE:

“We are delighted to welcome Mike to the Epiris team. He is a seasoned investor whose experience will be highly complementary to our deal sourcing and execution capabilities in both the UK and Europe.”

– Alex Fortescue, Managing Partner at Epiris
