EQT announced that Gustav Segerberg has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of EQT AB, effective July 18, 2026. He will succeed Kim Henriksson, who is stepping down after nearly eight years as CFO and will remain with the firm as a Senior Advisor.

Segerberg has spent more than a decade at EQT in a variety of senior leadership roles and has been a member of the firm’s Executive Committee since 2022. Most recently, he served as Head of the CEO Office, where he played a key role in shaping EQT’s strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions activity, and expansion into the private wealth market.

During his tenure, Segerberg helped lead several transformative transactions for EQT, including the combinations with Baring Private Equity Asia, Exeter Property Group, and the recently announced acquisition of Coller Capital, which remains subject to regulatory and investor approvals. He has also been involved in driving the firm’s organic growth initiatives as EQT expanded its global investment platform.

Henriksson’s tenure as CFO coincided with a period of significant growth and transformation for EQT. Since assuming the role in 2018, he has overseen the development of the company’s finance organization and supported EQT’s evolution into one of the world’s leading publicly listed private markets investment firms. In his new role as Senior Advisor, Henriksson will focus on supporting EQT portfolio companies, including assisting with IPO preparations and public company governance.

EQT currently manages €269 billion in total assets under management, including €142 billion in fee-generating assets under management, across its Private Capital and Real Assets business segments. The firm operates in more than 25 countries and employs over 1,900 people globally.

The leadership transition comes as EQT continues to expand its global platform and pursue growth opportunities across private markets, private wealth, and strategic acquisitions.
