EQT has completed its combination with Coller Capital in a transaction carrying $3.2 billion of base consideration, establishing Coller EQT as a new secondaries business within the global private markets investment platform.
Coller Capital, now operating as Coller EQT, brings a 36-year track record across LP-led and GP-led secondaries.
The transaction positions EQT in a secondaries market that generated more than $120 billion of transaction volume during the first half of 2026, up nearly 20% year-over-year and representing the strongest first half on record.
The combination increases EQT’s total assets under management to €341 billion, or approximately $389 billion, including €186 billion of fee-generating AUM.
It also creates a combined evergreen platform exceeding €10 billion of net asset value.
Coller adds nine investment strategies to EQT across private equity and credit secondaries while broadening the firm’s offering to insurance and private wealth clients.
EQT acquired 100% of Coller Capital’s management company and general partner entities along with a 10% interest in carried interest from Coller International Partners IX, its latest private equity secondaries flagship fund.
EQT will also have the right to invest in 35% of carried interest generated by future closed-end Coller funds.
The $3.2 billion base consideration primarily consists of 80,360,882 newly issued EQT shares, representing approximately 7% of shares outstanding. Approximately $65 million of the base consideration was payable in cash at completion.
Another $500 million of contingent consideration could become payable based on Coller’s performance through March 2029.
Jeremy Coller has become Head and CIO of Coller EQT and joined EQT’s Executive Committee.
EQT said it remains committed to doubling Coller’s fee-generating assets under management within four years.
