EQT Healthcare Growth has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Europa Biosite, a Stockholm-based distributor of high-quality research-use-only (RUO) life science reagents and biological substances. Operating in 17 countries across Europe and North America, Europa Biosite supports over 60,000 researchers in academia and the biopharmaceutical industry.
The company offers access to over ten million scientific products, including antibodies, biochemicals, diagnostic kits, and ethically sourced biospecimens from various suppliers. With a focus on strong technical sales and a localized presence, Europa Biosite is well-positioned in a dynamic industry that benefits from stable research funding.
EQT Healthcare Growth plans to leverage its extensive experience in the healthcare sector to help Europa Biosite expand its biospecimen offerings, strengthen its local market presence, enter new regions, and invest in digital infrastructure.
