Equity Methods announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Equity Plan Solutions, a boutique firm specializing in equity plan administration services for publicly traded, venture-backed, and sponsor-backed companies across the United States. The transaction adds a 22-person team and enhances Equity Methods’ ability to deliver end-to-end equity compensation services.
The acquisition broadens Equity Methods’ capabilities across the equity compensation lifecycle, strengthening its offerings in valuation, financial reporting, equity plan management, and human resources advisory. Equity Plan Solutions brings a client-focused approach and deep specialization in equity administration, complementing Equity Methods’ existing platform.
As part of the transaction, Elizabeth Dodge, founder and principal of Equity Plan Solutions, will join Equity Methods as Director, Equity Management Services. Albert Orozco, principal and head of operations at Equity Plan Solutions, will also join as a director. Founded in 2016, Equity Plan Solutions has built a reputation for expertise in stock plan administration, with Dodge bringing over two decades of leadership experience in the field.
The deal also aligns with the strategic vision of HGGC, the majority investor in Equity Methods, which continues to support investments aimed at expanding the firm’s capabilities and enhancing its client experience.
Equity Methods serves a wide range of clients, from Fortune 100 multinationals to high-growth startups, providing services related to share-based compensation and long-term incentive programs. The firm is known for its valuation and audit support, financial reporting, equity plan management, and HR advisory services.
HGGC, based in Palo Alto, manages over $10 billion in assets and focuses on investments across technology, business services, financial services, and consumer sectors.
