Formation Of Eracent

How did the idea for Eracent come together?

“I was involved with the AT&T tri-vesture. While supporting that process, I developed a remote cloud-based internet-based hardware and software inventory process. The process enabled Lucent Technologies to define its computer and network assets worldwide. During the process, we managed hundreds of millions of computer hardware and software assets,” said Szablowski. “Upon the completion of that contract, Eracent began working with other large companies. My company leads the world in the area of IT asset management.”

Challenges Faced

What are some of the challenges Szablowski faced in building the company? “Eracent has never obtained venture funding, which is one reason we are still in business. Eracent has grown through internal processes and large sales,” noted Szablowski.

What are Eracent’s core products and features? Eracent is known primarily as a data mining company. “We have the expertise to gather and utilize billions of data elements from a network and analyze the result. The data analysis supports network operation, computer management, software management, IT asset management, operations management, incident management, cybersecurity, software bill of materials (SBOM) management, risk management and analysis, AI analysis, vulnerability management, Zero Trust Resource planning, and framework management. These are just the “broad stroke” capabilities. The actual subcomponent functionality of our products is huge,” Szablowski added.

“Working with major clients all over the world has forced growth and innovation. The cloud, virtual machines, personal devices, and cybersecurity have forced constant research and development and the evolution of systems, processes, and software,” Szablowski pointed out.
