Escalade Acquires ASL Solutions To Enter Pet Market And Expand U.S. Manufacturing

By Amit Chowdhry ● Aug 29, 2026

Escalade has acquired the assets of ASL Solutions, adding a premium insulated pet housing business and new rotational molding capabilities to its U.S. manufacturing platform. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Founded in 2000 and based in Ste. Marie, Illinois, ASL Solutions manufactures insulated dog and cat houses and related accessories under product lines including Dog Palace, CRB Palace, RB Palace and DP Hunter.

The acquisition gives Escalade a direct entry into the pet products market while complementing its existing position across sporting goods, safety, fitness and indoor and outdoor recreation.

ASL’s manufacturing expertise is centered on rotational molding, which complements Escalade’s existing injection and blow molding capabilities and broadens the company’s domestic production infrastructure.

ASL’s products are engineered to provide insulated environments intended to keep pets warmer during cold weather and cooler during warmer conditions.

The business was founded by Howard Atkison and Bob Guinn, who together have more than 60 years of manufacturing experience.

ASL’s portfolio has expanded from its flagship Dog Palace product into Cat Palace, heating and cooling systems, pet beds and other accessories.

ASL Solutions will become part of Escalade’s US Weight Group portfolio, led by General Manager Allison McDonald.

Escalade expects to use its resources, distribution reach and manufacturing capabilities to build ASL’s existing brands while exploring complementary pet categories.

The acquisition adds a new consumer segment to a portfolio that already includes brands such as Goalrilla, STIGA, Bear Archery, Brunswick Billiards, Onix, Lifeline and RAVE Sports.
