eToro announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire Zengo, strengthening its position in digital assets and accelerating its strategy to bridge traditional finance with on-chain infrastructure.
The acquisition brings together eToro’s global multi-asset investing platform with Zengo’s self-custodial wallet technology, enabling expanded access to decentralized finance capabilities and user-controlled asset management.
Zengo, founded in 2018, is known for its multi-party computation (MPC)-based keyless wallet architecture, designed to enhance security while simplifying the user experience. Its platform includes features such as on- and off-ramps, token swaps, staking, and access to decentralized applications.
Through the acquisition, eToro aims to support emerging digital asset use cases, including tokenized assets, decentralized trading models such as prediction markets and perpetuals, and broader participation in the crypto-native economy.
While there will be no immediate changes for users, eToro plans to integrate Zengo’s technology into its platform, enabling access to a wider range of decentralized products and services over time.
The move reflects eToro’s broader vision of a more digital, decentralized, and user-controlled financial system, positioning the company to play a larger role in the evolution of on-chain finance.
