EUCLYD Raises Over €200 Million In Series A Funding For AI Infrastructure

EUCLYD has signed a Series A financing round of more than €200 million to develop infrastructure for foundation AI models. The Eindhoven, Netherlands-based company said the funding will support its silicon and systems roadmap and preparations for commercial deployment.

The round was co-led by Samsung, Somerset Capital Partners, EQT-managed Scaleup Europe Fund, and Innovation Industries. EIFO, imec.xpand, Brabant Development Agency (BOM), and Quadri also participated. Peter Wennink, former president and CEO of ASML, has joined EUCLYD as chairman of the board.

EUCLYD is developing a platform that combines programmable chip technology, memory architecture, and data center systems. Its roadmap includes craftwerk, which the company describes as agentic AI silicon, and craftwerk station CWS, a proposed low-power AI factory. The company aims to reduce the power and cost required to run AI models, particularly for inference.

The financing will help EUCLYD expand its engineering team, advance its silicon and systems development, strengthen partnerships, and prepare to serve enterprise, sovereign, and hyperscale AI customers. The company was founded by Bernardo Kastrup and Atul Sinha at High Tech Campus Eindhoven.

KEY QUOTES:

“AI is becoming a foundation of economic growth, scientific discovery, and national competitiveness, but its potential will remain constrained unless we fundamentally change the infrastructure beneath it. This financing accelerates our mission to make intelligence abundant through greater efficiency, lower cost per token, and broader access to advanced AI.”

Bernardo Kastrup, Founder and CEO of EUCLYD

“The next phase of AI will be defined not only by model innovation, but also by the efficiency and scalability of its infrastructure. EUCLYD combines an accomplished team with a differentiated vision addressing constraints in AI datacenters.”

Dede Goldschmidt, Senior Vice President of Samsung Electronics and Head of the Samsung Semiconductor Innovation Center

“EUCLYD combines deep semiconductor expertise with a mission to tackle some of the hardest constraints in AI infrastructure. That mix of European engineering depth and global ambition is what we’re here to back.”

Ted Persson, Partner at EQT and Co-Head of the Scaleup Europe Fund

“EUCLYD can transform those strengths into a globally competitive AI infrastructure platform.”
