Eunice: $8 Million Raised For AI-Powered Due Diligence Infrastructure For Alternative Assets

Eunice, a London-based company building institutional-grade due diligence infrastructure for regulated markets, has raised $8 million in seed and pre-seed funding led by Moonfire Ventures and Speedinvest, with participation from Openspace Ventures. The round also includes a group of prominent angel investors from across fintech and digital assets.

The company is focused on replacing fragmented, manual due diligence processes with structured, AI-driven infrastructure designed to help institutions assess, document, and defend complex investment decisions. As alternative assets continue to grow in both scale and regulatory scrutiny, Eunice aims to become a foundational infrastructure layer for due diligence and disclosure across these markets.

Eunice initially found traction in digital assets, where regulatory expectations have intensified for exchanges and custodians. The platform deploys AI agents that produce structured, audit-ready, asset-level assessments. The company is already working with major industry players including Coinbase, Crypto.com, Copper, and Zodia Custody, and has contributed to disclosure template development through the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s Regulatory Sandbox.

Building on that foundation, Eunice is now expanding into broader alternative asset classes, where institutional allocators such as pension funds, endowments, and funds of funds face increasing pressure to improve governance, transparency, and documentation standards. In these markets, due diligence is often still handled through manual and inconsistent workflows, creating challenges in demonstrating how decisions are made. Eunice’s platform introduces auditable frameworks with embedded human oversight, enabling institutions to retain professional judgment while making decisions more transparent and defensible.

Eunice was founded by Yi Luo, previously Founding CSO at FreeUp, and a former venture capital investor. Philip Lam joined as CTO, bringing experience as co-founder of Nex and former VP of Engineering at GoodNotes, where he helped scale the platform to over 30 million users globally.

The new funding will be used to further develop Eunice’s AI agent capabilities, expand coverage across private markets, and scale its commercial operations as demand for institutional-grade due diligence infrastructure continues to rise.

  1. Paul Forster, Co-founder of Indeed
  2. Charles Delingpole, Founder and Executive Chairman of ComplyAdvantage
  3. Christian Faes, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of LendInvest

KEY QUOTES:

“When decision-making in alternative assets is opaque, risk doesn’t disappear – it just becomes invisible until it isn’t. As these markets grow more complex and more visible, institutions need to show not just what they decided, but how. We’re building the infrastructure that makes that process structured, transparent and defensible – without stripping away professional judgement.”

Yi Luo, Founder And CEO Of Eunice

“Eunice represents the next generation of vertical AI startups that redefine how critical work is done in regulated markets. In a world where “general-purpose AI is moving into verticals, advantage comes from systems that embed regulatory logic, accountability and domain workflow. Eunice is codifying how regulated institutions operate. That depth of integration, combined with strong early traction and deep domain expertise, positions it to lead the market.”
