Eurazeo agreed to acquire a majority stake in MIYA Water through its Eurazeo Planetary Boundaries Fund. Miya specializes in water efficiency and reducing non-revenue water, which includes water lost through leaks, theft, and metering errors before reaching customers.
Miya’s founders and management team will continue leading the company and will remain significant co-investors alongside Eurazeo.
The transaction represents the fourth investment made by the Eurazeo Planetary Boundaries Fund.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2007, Miya has completed more than 200 projects across five continents.
The company works with water utilities to reduce water losses, improve network performance, and generate operational and financial savings.
Eurazeo estimates that approximately 126 billion cubic meters of water are lost annually through non-revenue water.
The global market for technologies and services designed to reduce those losses is estimated at approximately €50 billion annually.
Eurazeo plans to support Miya through operational improvements, organizational development, international expansion, and selective acquisitions.
The investment aligns with Eurazeo’s strategy of backing companies addressing environmental challenges through commercially scalable solutions.
Miya also aligns with the fund’s objectives around freshwater preservation, pollution reduction, and climate change mitigation.
