Everbridge has acquired Open Measures, adding open-source intelligence capabilities designed to help organizations identify emerging threats earlier across social media, messaging platforms and online communities.
The acquisition expands Everbridge’s High Velocity Critical Event Management platform with technology that collects and analyzes billions of publicly available signals across more than 45 digital sources.
Open Measures specializes in identifying signals that may indicate developing operational, physical or reputational threats before those risks become visible through traditional intelligence sources.
Its technology can analyze mainstream and alternative social platforms and online communities to identify emerging narratives, connect related activity across different sources and investigate evolving threats.
Everbridge plans to combine those capabilities with its existing Critical Event Management technology so organizations can connect digital threat signals with people, locations, assets and operations that could be affected.
The combination also creates opportunities for additional AI-powered analysis, investigation and decision support using Open Measures’ proprietary data collection capabilities and OSINT expertise.
Everbridge currently supports more than 6,500 enterprises and government organizations through its critical event management and public warning technologies.
