Evermay Wealth Management, a fee-only fiduciary registered investment advisor based in Arlington, Virginia, has merged with Novotny, Larash, Venters & Wolf (NLVW), a tax preparation and business advisory firm headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland.
The combination positions Evermay’s wealth, investment, financial, and estate planning capabilities alongside NLVW’s four decades of tax and business advisory expertise, creating a more integrated offering for clients who want their investments, taxes, and planning strategies aligned under one coordinated approach.
The merger doubles Evermay’s team and adds 25 professionals from NLVW, with most expected to continue working from the Annapolis office. The tax practice will operate as Evermay Tax LLC and will be led by Brandon Wolf, CPA, CFP, who will oversee the combined tax division. NLVW, founded in 1984, serves roughly 1,000 clients and focuses on business owners, entrepreneurs, and families, providing tax advice and planning, accounting, and broader business advisory services.
For Evermay, the deal expands the firm’s ability to deliver tax preparation and business advisory work alongside investment management and planning, aiming to reduce fragmentation across client finances and improve coordination between tax strategy and long-term planning. Existing NLVW clients will also gain access to Evermay’s investment management, financial planning, tax planning, and estate planning services, while select team members will support clients from Evermay’s Arlington headquarters.
