EverSettled announced a $5 million Seed round led by Emergence Capital to help families across the U.S. navigate estate settlement with less confusion, cost, and burden. The company was founded by Arum Kempster and Jacob Effenberger after Kempster experienced firsthand how estate administration can become an 18-month, tens-of-thousands-of-dollars process requiring roughly 900 hours of work, a burden the company says confronts the families of the 3.1 million Americans who pass away every year, a system that will also be tested by the broader $84 trillion “Great Wealth Transfer.”
In just four months, the company says it is already supporting thousands of families, guiding them through estate settlement via its AI-native platform, which answers questions and takes action on behalf of families 24/7 across all 50 states. Additional investors in the round include Seedcamp, Bridge Ventures, Alumni Ventures, Entrepreneurs First, Transpose Platform, and a group of angel investors.
