EVI Industries has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sudsies, a Miami-based luxury garment care company. The transaction will establish the foundation of EVI’s new consumer garment care services division and mark its first dedicated expansion beyond commercial laundry distribution and services since launching its current growth strategy in 2016.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close promptly after customary conditions are satisfied and is projected to increase EVI’s earnings during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
Founded in 1996 by Jason Loeb and Jorge Baboun, Sudsies provides garment care services to individual customers and luxury retailers across South Florida. The company specializes in high-value and technically complex apparel, treating items individually to preserve their fabric, structure, color and finish.
Sudsies has also developed a digitally focused customer acquisition strategy and an integrated pickup-and-delivery operation. Its logistics platform includes a dedicated fleet and technology-enabled service organized around individual customer accounts.
For the 12 months ended June 30, 2026, Sudsies generated approximately $21.7 million in revenue, $4.7 million in operating income and $5.7 million in EBITDA. From July 2021 through June 2026, revenue increased at a compound annual rate of approximately 21%, while operating income and EBITDA grew at annual rates of roughly 36% and 62%, respectively.
EVI plans to combine Sudsies’ brand and consumer service model with its experience designing, equipping and servicing commercial laundry operations. The company believes these complementary capabilities could support the expansion of the Sudsies model into additional U.S. markets.
Following completion, Sudsies will continue operating under its existing name and will remain led by founder Jason Loeb. EVI said the company’s employees, culture and service standards will also remain in place.
The acquisition reflects EVI’s strategy of buying established, founder-led businesses while retaining the leaders who built them. EVI provides capital, operational resources and a larger corporate platform while allowing acquired companies to preserve their identities and customer relationships.
EVI intends to apply the same buy-and-build strategy to the fragmented consumer garment care market that it has used in commercial laundry. The company views the sector as a multibillion-dollar market supported by recurring demand and thousands of independent, frequently family-owned operators.
Consumer preferences for convenience, premium service and specialized garment care are also creating opportunities for larger, technology-enabled operators. EVI believes Sudsies offers a repeatable model for attracting and retaining luxury consumers while generating recurring revenue.
The company remains committed to expanding its commercial laundry distribution and service operations. EVI plans to continue pursuing organic growth and acquisitions in that sector while developing the new consumer division.
Since 2016, EVI has expanded from a single Miami distributor with 31 employees into a North American commercial laundry platform comprising 32 businesses and more than 900 employees. Annual revenue has increased from approximately $36 million to nearly $435 million, representing compound annual growth of roughly 29%.
EVI’s workforce now includes more than 200 sales professionals and 425 service employees. The company provides commercial laundry equipment, installation, maintenance, repair and advisory services to retail, commercial, industrial, institutional and government customers.
