Evident Finalizes Acquisition Of Pramana To Advance Next Generation Digital Pathology

Evident announced that it has completed its acquisition of Pramana, Inc., a provider of autonomous whole slide imaging systems for digital pathology. The transaction strengthens Evident’s position in the global digital pathology market and supports what the company describes as the next era of digital pathology solutions.

Pramana was founded in 2021 by nference and has developed a modular family of imaging and workflow systems that can process a broad range of specimens using real-time AI algorithms to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety. The company’s technology is used across hospitals, research environments, and academic laboratories that are digitizing large volumes of pathology slides each day.

Evident has a longstanding history in clinical microscopy and optical imaging technologies. By integrating its platform with Pramana’s autonomous systems, Evident aims to enhance its digital pathology capabilities, supporting increased caseload volumes, automated quality control, seamless data integration workflows, and advanced imaging analytics powered by AI.
