Evolution Equity Partners Names John Cordo As Partner Following $1.1 Billion Capital Raise

Evolution Equity Partners has named John Cordo as a Partner, expanding the cybersecurity-focused investment firm’s senior team following a $1.1 billion capital raise.

Cordo brings nearly 15 years of cybersecurity investment experience and has worked with Evolution Equity Partners for approximately three years.

He began his investment career at Blackstone, where he invested through the Blackstone Innovations venture capital portfolio.

Cordo’s cybersecurity investment experience includes companies such as HUMAN, BigID and Immuta, along with several businesses that were subsequently acquired by major technology companies.

Those investments include CloudGenix, which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks; CloudKnox, which was acquired by Microsoft; and Respond Software, which was acquired by FireEye.

Evolution Equity Partners invests in cybersecurity and related technology businesses and has been expanding its capital base and investment team as demand for cybersecurity and artificial intelligence infrastructure grows.
