“My background is rooted in a lifelong passion for gaming and technology, both of which have shaped my career trajectory. Before joining ExitLag, I worked extensively in the tech industry, particularly in areas related to optimizing network performance and improving user experiences in digital environments. As CEO, my role is multifaceted—overseeing ExitLag’s strategic direction, innovation pipeline, and partnerships is just the start. I also spend a significant amount of time staying connected with our community of gamers to ensure we’re addressing their needs. One of my top priorities is ensuring that our technology continues to evolve in ways that improve gameplay for our users, whether they’re casual gamers or professionals competing on the global stage.”
Formation Of ExitLag
How did the idea for ExitLag come together? Stolze shared:
“ExitLag was born out of frustration that my co-founders and I experienced firsthand as gamers. We were tired of dealing with the issues of high latency, connection drops, and poor server routing that would often ruin gaming sessions, especially during competitive play.”
“We realized that this was a common issue shared by millions of gamers worldwide. Instead of waiting for someone else to solve the problem, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We wanted to create a solution that would intelligently optimize internet routing to gaming servers, providing smoother, more stable connections. That’s when ExitLag was conceived, with the mission of offering gamers everywhere a way to enjoy lag-free gaming, regardless of where they were in the world.”

What has been your favorite memory working at ExitLag so far? Stolze reflected:
“Many memories come to mind as good moments throughout our journey. For me, one of the most remarkable and recent memories was being able to share my passion and vision for the company during a Growth event in Boston last year. This moment stands out because it was a reinforcement of all our hard work and dedication towards creating an amazing company. It was a summary of the countless hours, days and nights spent to get to that moment and it made me realize even more how great our journey has been.”

What are ExitLag’s core products and features? Stolze explained:
“At its heart, ExitLag is a performance-enhancing software designed to optimize internet routing for online games. Our core product is our multi-path optimization algorithm, which simultaneously connects users to multiple routes and chooses the most efficient path in real time. This feature drastically reduces lag, jitter, and packet loss. Additionally, ExitLag supports over 1,000 game titles and is continuously updated to ensure compatibility with new releases and patches. Another standout feature is our ability to run the software alongside other applications without impacting their performance, ensuring a seamless gaming experience. Our goal has always been to provide gamers with the tools they need to stay competitive, no matter where they are in the world.”
Challenges Faced
What challenges have Stolze and the team face in building the company? Stolze acknowledged:
“The gaming industry is constantly evolving, and with that comes challenges. One of the more significant challenges we’ve faced recently is the increased demand for reliable connections across more geographically diverse regions, especially as the popularity of competitive gaming has surged in places where infrastructure isn’t always the most robust.”
“To overcome this, we’ve aggressively expanded our server network and improved our routing algorithms to handle the higher demands. We’ve also strengthened our partnerships with ISPs and other infrastructure providers to ensure we can continue delivering top-tier performance across a growing list of supported regions and games.”

A few months ago, you announced Bugha as an ExitLag Ambassador. What inspired you to collaborate with him? Stolze revealed:
“Bugha is a renowned influencer in the gaming world. His victory at the Fortnite World Cup at such a young age was inspiring, but it’s not just his skill that attracted us—it’s his work ethic, professionalism, and the way he engages with his community. We felt he was the perfect ambassador to represent ExitLag because he understands the importance of having a reliable connection, especially in high-stakes environments. We’re always looking to partner with individuals who embody the values we stand for and Bugha is the epitome of that. We’re thrilled to have him on board to help spread the word about ExitLag!”

Are there plans to introduce new ExitLag Ambassadors in the future? Stolze noted:
“Absolutely! Bugha is just the beginning. We’re actively looking to bring on more ambassadors who align with our brand values and are passionate about improving the gaming experience for the gaming community. Our goal is to diversify our ambassador roster with talent from different gaming communities and regions, which will help us reach new audiences and continue to bring awareness and grow ExitLag’s presence worldwide.”

“The Ambassador program is part of our larger strategy to build deeper connections with the gaming community. Beyond that, we’re looking to build a community where gamers feel supported and connected, knowing that ExitLag is helping them perform at their best.”

“Since launching, we’ve continually refined our multi-path optimization algorithm to be more responsive and effective. We’ve also expanded our server infrastructure to ensure we have a presence in key gaming regions worldwide. As gaming technology evolves, so too must our software, and we’ve worked hard to ensure that ExitLag is always ahead of the curve. We’ve added new features based on user feedback, improved our user interface, and expanded our support for more games. What have been some of ExitLag’s most significant milestones? Stolze cited:
“There are many milestones we’ve achieved throughout our journey over the past few years, from an increase in the number of subscribers to the release of new features and products. The most recent milestone we’ve achieved was the release of a new version of our main product. We named it ExitLag V5, but it is a combination of dedicated efforts towards innovation and excellence to deliver the best outcome possible. ExitLag’s new version combines a series of improvements from more AI adoption to less consumption of resources and we aim for this to be the beginning of a new phase for our product.”

When asking Stolze about customer success stories, he highlighted:
“One of the most remarkable moments was to see a professional player who got disconnected during a tournament but was able to reconnect with ExitLag while his in-game character was falling in the air. The quick hands of a professional player plus our easy-to-use software and efficient solution allowed the player to reconnect with the game in a matter of seconds. This lead to a partnership between that player and ExitLag and it is still today one of the best success stories of a customer.”

We also pride ourselves on our responsiveness to customer feedback—constantly updating and improving the platform to meet their needs. On top of that, we support a wide range of titles, and we’re always expanding.”
Future Goals
What goals does ExitLag have for the future? Stolze pointed out:
“We have some exciting goals ahead. One is to continue expanding our server infrastructure to cover more regions, especially as competitive gaming grows globally. We also want to deepen our presence in the esports space by partnering with more organizations and players. Additionally, we’re exploring new features and enhancements that will further improve the user experience and cater to the evolving needs of gamers. Ultimately, our goal is to be the go-to solution for gaming performance, no matter where you’re located or what you’re playing.”
