Extend Fertility, a New York-based fertility services company, has raised $15 million in Series A funding from Regal Healthcare Capital Partners. And the company also named Anne Hogarty as CEO.

With this funding round, Extend Fertility is going to deepen its commitment to new business lines and expand into new geographic markets. And Hogarty is going to champion Extend Fertility’s mission to create additional fertility options for all people.

“Extend Fertility is at an exciting inflection point, with egg freezing becoming mainstream and the recent launch of our service for patients dealing with infertility,” said

Joshua U. Klein, MD, FACOG, the chief clinical officer and co-founder of Extend Fertility. “With Anne’s understanding of millennial lifestyles and passion for helping them have families when they are ready, she is the perfect person to lead and expand our company’s vision and footprint.”

Launched in 2016, Extend Fertility has become one of the largest providers of planned egg freezing (cryopreservation) in the country. And the company completed over 1,000 cycles in 2018. And Extend Fertility expanded its service to those who are experiencing infertility with a program called Expect Fertility — which offers infertility treatments like IVF and IUI.

“Extend Fertility created an entirely new model for egg freezing. They saw a need in the market, and not only met it but made it accessible,” added Regal Healthcare Capital Partners managing partner David Kim. “As a firm seeking to advance healthcare practices, Extend Fertility is a natural partner and we look forward to supporting their growth.”

Prior to joining Extend Fertility, Hogarty was the chief business officer at Prelude Fertility and was the president of MyEggBank — which is Prelude’s donor egg division and the largest frozen donor egg bank in North America. Hogarty also previously worked at BuzzFeed as Vice President of International Business. She oversaw the launch of BuzzFeed’s first joint venture (with Yahoo! Japan) to create BuzzFeed Japan. And Hogarty graduated from Harvard College and received an MBA from Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar.
