Exxat, a provider of software for clinical and experiential education in healthcare, said it has received a minority growth investment from Accel-KKR to accelerate product development and broaden adoption across healthcare education and workforce development.

The company positions its platform to support the full academic-to-practice journey through a connected suite of tools spanning curriculum management, placement coordination, onboarding, compliance, and student readiness. Exxat said its systems are designed for healthcare, allied health, and behavioral sciences programs, with an emphasis on replacing fragmented workflows with standardized, data-driven processes that can be shared across schools and clinical partners.

Exxat reported that its technology supports more than 1,600 academic programs, more than 10,000 clinical affiliates, and 400,000-plus learners across disciplines, including nursing, allied health, behavioral health, public health, and related fields. The investment is intended to help the company scale its platform capabilities and extend its reach among institutions and clinical training partners amid sustained demand for more predictable pathways into the healthcare workforce.

For Accel-KKR, the deal adds exposure to the intersection of education administration, clinical operations, and workforce planning. Exxat said the partnership will focus on accelerating product innovation and expanding the company’s footprint in healthcare education and workforce development.

Exxat said the release was updated to correct a previously misstated figure related to the number of clinical affiliates referenced in the company’s platform scale metrics.
