EZ Bombs Raises $25 Million Series A Led By CAVU Consumer Partners

EZ Bombs has raised a $25 million Series A funding round led by CAVU Consumer Partners as the family-founded food company expands its Seasoning Bomb products across major U.S. retailers.

The company has grown from zero retail locations at the beginning of 2025 to more than 8,000 locations today. Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, Albertsons, Publix, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and the company’s own e-commerce platform now sell its products.

EZ Bombs makes shelf-stable seasoning products that combine chiles, spices, aromatics, and other ingredients used in Mexican and Hispanic dishes into pre-portioned balls that dissolve during cooking. The products simplify traditionally multi-step recipes such as birria and pozole.

The financing will support expanded retail distribution, additional manufacturing capacity, new product development, and executive hiring. As part of the investment, CAVU Principal Brandon Neumann will join EZ Bombs’ board of directors. CAVU’s in-house value creation team, UNCOMMON, will also work with the company across retail expansion, brand development, digital commerce, and executive team growth.

EZ Bombs was founded in late 2023 by Brandon Castaneda, his mother Tina Castaneda, and his sister Nichole Munoz. The company’s first product was the Birria Bomb, which packages the flavor base traditionally used to make birria into a single pre-portioned product.

The brand initially gained traction on TikTok Shop and Amazon before rapidly expanding into physical retail. EZ Bombs said it became the No. 1 food and beverage product on TikTok Shop in 2025, selling more than 1 million units and generating the platform’s largest live show sales in the category.

According to the company, birria’s presence on U.S. restaurant menus increased 350% between 2021 and 2026, citing data from Datassential.

EZ Bombs has since expanded into additional dishes, offering products for Pozole, Tinga, Chicken Chipotle, and Chile Colorado. More Mexican seasoning products are expected to enter retail locations later in 2026.

The company said it has remained profitable while scaling from digital channels into national retail, giving CAVU confidence that the underlying format could extend beyond birria into additional meals that consumers may view as too complicated or time-consuming to prepare from scratch.

KEY QUOTES:

“Growing up, my mom’s cooking was the center of everything in our house, and I wanted anyone to be able to make those meals at home without spending all day in the kitchen. We took her recipes, packed the whole flavor base into one Bomb, and showed people how easy it could be. Partnering with CAVU lets us bring that to a lot more families, along with a lot more of the dishes we grew up on.”

Brandon Castaneda, Co-Founder And CEO Of EZ Bombs

“Most seasonings are sold as ingredients while EZ Bombs starts with the meal. The speed with which EZ Bombs moved from digital demand into national retail – while remaining disciplined and profitable from day one – was one of the things that got our attention. Birria established the model, but the opportunity is much broader: simplifying meals that today’s consumers want to make but often find too complicated or time-consuming.”
