Ezee Fiber has completed its purchase of Tachus Fiber Internet, extending its all-fiber network deeper into The Woodlands and other fast-growing communities north of Houston. Backed by global infrastructure investor I Squared Capital, Ezee Fiber now ranks among the largest independent fiber internet providers in the United States. It remains on track to pass more than 600,000 homes and businesses by the end of this year.

This acquisition seamlessly combines two operators committed to delivering multi-gigabit speeds, award-winning customer support, and a storm-hardened network designed for maximum reliability.

By integrating Tachus’ existing routes and subscriber base, Ezee Fiber strengthens its presence across Greater Houston, offering uninterrupted service to both residential users and enterprise clients.

Over the past two years, Ezee Fiber has invested heavily in network build-out across multiple states, including a $200 million expansion in Houston, $250 million in New Mexico, and $400 million each in Washington state and the greater Chicago area. The addition of Tachus underscores the company’s aggressive growth strategy and sets the stage for further market entries in 2025.

Ezee Fiber operates a fully fiber-optic, carrier-grade network in Texas, New Mexico, Washington, and Illinois. Its growth model hinges on three core principles: delivering consistently fast symmetrical speeds, maintaining transparent and straightforward pricing, and providing highly responsive local support teams.

As Ezee Fiber integrates Tachus’ infrastructure and personnel, the company will focus on streamlining operations, unifying branding, and accelerating new service rollouts. Customers in acquired territories can expect to benefit from Ezee Fiber’s wider service portfolio, enhanced maintenance capabilities, and expanded technical resources.

Ezee Fiber plans to announce additional expansions across the United States later this year. And by combining organic network build-outs with strategic acquisitions, the company aims to deliver affordable, reliable fiber internet to underserved communities and solidify its role as a leading independent operator.
