F.L.Putnam Investment Management Company has acquired the Red Granite investment team from an affiliate of 1251 Capital Group, establishing its first Wisconsin location and adding more than $1 billion in private client assets.
The six-member Red Granite team will remain in its downtown Milwaukee office and is led by Co-Chief Investment Officers Joel D. Vrabel, CFA, and David J. Drzadinski, CFA, CPA.
Vrabel and Drzadinski have managed a large-cap growth equity strategy together since 1996.
The acquisition gives F.L.Putnam its second Midwest location and adds Red Granite’s proprietary large-cap growth strategy to the firm’s investment platform.
The strategy uses a fundamental, bottom-up investment process focused on companies with strong competitive positions and sustainable growth models and seeks to outperform the Russell 1000 Growth Index over a market cycle while maintaining lower risk and volatility.
