Fabrix Security: $8 Million Seed Funding Raised For AI-Native Identity Security Solutions

By Amit Chowdhry • Sep 22, 2025

Fabrix Security has recently made headlines by emerging from stealth mode, announcing the completion of an impressive $8 million in seed funding to launch its innovative product called Fabrix. This new offering represents a significant breakthrough in identity security.

It is specifically designed to help organizations manage and secure both human identities—such as employees and contractors—as well as non-human identities, which include various automated systems, including bots, API keys, service accounts, and AI agents. The primary goal of Fabrix is to ensure that organizations can enforce the principle of least privilege, meaning that individuals are granted the minimum levels of access necessary to perform their job functions. This approach helps reduce vulnerabilities and minimizes the risk of potential cyberattacks, all while allowing the business to operate effectively without disruptions.

The seed funding for Fabrix was led by notable venture capital companies such as Norwest, Merlin Ventures, and Jibe Ventures. This financial backing will be directed toward several key areas, including further product development and expanding the company’s sales and marketing efforts. These resources will enable Fabrix Security to enhance its offerings and reach a wider range of potential customers.

Fabrix Security was co-founded by Raz Rotenberg, who serves as the CEO. With a strong background in artificial intelligence as well as experience as a founding engineer and research and development lead for Run.ai—which was acquired by NVIDIA last year—he brings a wealth of expertise to the company. The chief technology officer, Ofir Yakovian, also plays a crucial role. He has worked as the Technical Lead for both Orca Security and Microsoft Entra, and he possesses extensive knowledge in the field of identity security. Together, the leadership team is supported by several prominent figures in cybersecurity and AI from well-known organizations, including NVIDIA, Cyera, Palo Alto Networks, Tenable, Google, and Microsoft.

What sets Fabrix apart is its foundation, built entirely on artificial intelligence. This unique approach is designed to deliver intelligent, actionable, and auditable decisions within the realm of identity and access management (IAM). These decisions are accompanied by reasoning trails and supporting evidence, which adds an essential layer of accountability. The AI agents at the core of Fabrix have been specifically designed and trained to excel in IAM tasks, which empowers enterprises to grow and adapt securely within an ever-evolving business landscape.

AI-Native IAM is a revolutionary concept that Fabrix embodies. This represents a new generation of IAM solutions that have been architected from the ground up to effectively leverage AI for managing digital identities, permissions, and access policies. Unlike many traditional IAM systems that still rely heavily on manual processes, AI-Native IAM adapts to real-time usage patterns. It uses advanced technologies, such as Large Language Models, to discover, understand, and refine every aspect of identity and access management, covering both human users and automated systems.

Fabrix operates intelligently by utilizing agentless connectors that collect comprehensive identity and permission data. This data is then transformed into what is referred to as an AI-ready identity fabric graph. From this graph, AI agents can perform various tasks, automate processes, integrate seamlessly with existing IAM workflows, and proactively enforce the principle of least privilege access. The AI-driven reasoning layer behind Fabrix ensures that every decision made is not only accurate but also grounded in concrete evidence. The system is designed to streamline user access review processes, enhance access requests, and effectively diminish risks through intelligent, context-aware execution.

With Fabrix, organizations gain the ability to achieve unparalleled visibility and intelligence regarding their identities. They can gain insights into every identity and every access path, allowing them to identify potential risks and anomalies. This capability enables organizations to act decisively, ensuring that they remain secure and compliant.

Fabrix enhances identity governance and administration, making it more straightforward and efficient, regardless of whether a business previously had an identity governance system in place. The AI agents within Fabrix simplify lifecycle management, tighten access controls, and make auditing much easier, contributing to a more organized and secure environment.

Additionally, the AI agents are continuously at work to recognize identity risks and uphold a proactive security posture. They actively enforce least privilege access and resolve any misconfigurations in access permissions. The use of Fabrix allows organizations to adopt a just-in-time access strategy, granting permissions only when necessary and for a limited time. This precision ensures that organizations are not exposed to unnecessary risks.

Managing identity changes becomes a seamless process with Fabrix as well. Businesses can assign AI agents to handle onboarding, offboarding, and any access changes dynamically. These agents act on real-time insights, variables, and context, fostering a more agile and responsive identity management system.

Ultimately, as non-human identities continue to proliferate rapidly in today’s world, Fabrix provides organizations with the tools necessary to manage these identities effectively. By allowing the Fabrix agent to manage governance, companies can eliminate blind spots and enhance their oversight of this increasingly important aspect of identity management.

KEY QUOTES:

“IAM problems have been around for decades, but identity sprawl has made them worse. Both human and non-human identities are growing exponentially. At this scale, traditional IAM systems that rely on manual processes can’t achieve their main objectives, enforcing least privilege and reducing the attack surface. With the AI revolution, Fabrix can deliver significant value to customers by making these processes intelligent and autonomous, in ways that could never have been done before.”

Raz Rotenberg

“Enterprise identity security teams continue to struggle with identity governance and administration (IGA) challenges like manual processes, inefficient user access reviews, and integration across broad portfolios of workforce apps. AI holds the promise of streamlining IGA operations, and Fabrix Security brings domain expertise and a new approach that holds the promise of turbocharging identity team effectiveness.”

Todd Thiemann, Principal Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group

“Identity and access management is a well-known IT and security pain point. Fabrix Security is using new AI technologies to tackle this difficult and persistent problem. Its technology leverages advanced reasoning methodologies to monitor access decisions. This revolutionary approach adds a powerful layer of intelligence to enhance existing identity platforms.”

Dror Nahumi, General Partner at Norwest

“The identity space is on the verge of major disruption. AI’s ability to multitask at scale and make instant decisions will eliminate today’s approval bottlenecks and long wait times. Identity will become one of the most profoundly impacted areas of cybersecurity in the near future.”

Shay Michel, Managing Partner at Merlin Ventures

“Fabrix brings a transformative approach to identity security. Their AI-native platform leverages Agentic AI to change the way we do IAM—constantly optimizing permissions, reducing risk, and giving IAM teams the confidence to scale securely across SaaS, cloud, on-prem, and disconnected apps.”

Yoni Kaplansky, Head of Architecture, Engineering, and Operations at FICO
