Facility Grid has acquired PingCx, an autonomous commissioning platform for building automation systems, as it expands from construction commissioning software into a broader building lifecycle technology platform.
Facility Grid is a portfolio company of Nexa Equity. The transaction terms were not disclosed.
Alongside the acquisition, Facility Grid is reorganizing its product strategy around three integrated offerings: FG Construct, FG Validate, and FG Sustain.
The goal is to create a connected software environment that can manage building performance from initial construction through commissioning, operational readiness, ongoing validation, and long-term sustainability.
PingCx will become FG Validate. The technology connects directly with building automation systems and autonomously performs point-to-point checkout, pre-functional testing, functional performance testing, and sequence-of-operations verification.
The platform can also continuously monitor equipment after a building enters operation, helping ensure systems continue functioning according to their original design requirements.
FG Construct will remain focused on commissioning, quality management, equipment installation, operational readiness, turnover, and construction documentation.
FG Sustain, expected to launch in September 2026, will extend Facility Grid into ongoing property performance assessments.
The AI-native product will help engineering firms, sustainability consultants, and property owners conduct energy audits, analyze utility usage, manage carbon reporting, model building performance, and identify opportunities for energy optimization.
Facility Grid believes integrating these functions can address a longstanding problem in construction technology, where engineering information and workflows often remain fragmented among multiple systems.
The platform serves customers across data centers, healthcare, higher education, manufacturing, office buildings, and other mission-critical facilities.
