FACTOR X Emerges From Stealth To Develop RNA-Based Skin Longevity Platform

By Amit Chowdhry ● Jul 13, 2026

FACTOR X announced its official launch as a longevity-focused beauty technology company developing a cellular delivery platform for next-generation skincare products. The company was founded by entrepreneur and model Bar Refaeli, longevity physician Dr. Inbal Gat, Harvard-trained scientist Dr. Shira Orr, and health-tech entrepreneur Eran Orr. FACTOR X said the founding team combines scientific expertise, longevity medicine, global brand experience, and health technology commercialization.

FACTOR X has completed a pre-seed financing round and is now raising a seed round to accelerate product development and expand operations. The company plans to establish laboratory operations in Israel while continuing research activities in Boston.

The company is developing a proprietary platform designed to deliver biological payloads such as RNA directly into targeted skin cells. FACTOR X said its goal is to move beyond conventional cosmetic technologies that mainly act on the skin’s surface and instead support skin health at the cellular level.

The platform combines a proprietary nanoparticle with RNA-based technology. The nanoparticle is designed to protect RNA as it penetrates the skin and deliver it into target cells, where it can instruct cells to restore more youthful biological function.

Potential applications include stimulating natural hyaluronic acid production in aging skin, supporting natural hair pigmentation, activating dormant hair follicles, addressing pigmentation-related concerns, and repairing biological aging pathways within skin cells.

Dr. Inbal Gat leads the company’s clinical vision. She is a physician who graduated with Dean’s Honors from Tel Aviv University and became the first Israeli to complete the global longevity medicine program at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, earning international certification in functional and longevity medicine.

Dr. Gat developed the company’s “Skin Longevity” philosophy after more than a decade of clinical practice in aesthetic medicine and research in longevity. FACTOR X is positioning the concept around rejuvenating skin from within rather than only relying on topical surface-level ingredients.

Dr. Shira Orr serves as Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer. She completed postdoctoral research at Harvard University and is leading development of the company’s proprietary nanoparticle platform for transporting RNA into target skin cells.

Bar Refaeli brings global visibility and access to international luxury beauty, marketing, media, and distribution networks. The company said its vision is not only to build its own products but also to enable existing beauty brands by integrating FACTOR X technology into established skincare formulations.

Eran Orr, Founder and CEO of XRHealth, is also part of the leadership team. XRHealth has raised tens of millions of dollars from international investors and operates an immersive healthcare platform.

FACTOR X is currently in the proof-of-concept stage. The company said its platform is designed to be non-toxic, suitable for routine use, stable as a room-temperature powder, and compatible with existing cosmetic formulations.

The platform is also designed for precision targeting, allowing RNA payloads to reach intended cells such as fibroblasts while minimizing off-target effects. FACTOR X said this could allow targeted cells to produce proteins associated with biologically younger skin.

The company’s room-temperature stability and powder format are intended to make the technology easier for beauty brands to incorporate into creams, serums, masks, and other cosmetic products without requiring major formulation or manufacturing changes.

This supports FACTOR X’s planned B2B model, enabling partnerships with major cosmetics companies while preserving the option to develop proprietary consumer products. The company said initial proof-of-concept studies have shown promising technological feasibility.

FACTOR X is now expanding development efforts and building international strategic partnerships as it works to establish “Real Skin Longevity” as a category across beauty, longevity, and consumer biotechnology.

KEY QUOTES:

“Throughout my career in aesthetic medicine, I have always searched for ways to rejuvenate the skin from within rather than simply covering it with topical ingredients. FACTOR X applies the most advanced principles of longevity medicine and translates cutting-edge scientific discoveries into products that can communicate directly with skin cells, repair biological dysfunction, and restore youthful cellular activity. That is what true Skin Longevity means.”

Dr. Inbal Gat, Co-Founder and Skin Longevity Pioneer at FACTOR X

“Our platform is designed to be completely safe for everyday use, non-toxic, stable as a room-temperature powder, and easily incorporated into virtually any cosmetic formulation. Its precision enables RNA to reach specific target cells such as fibroblasts and stimulate them to produce proteins as they would in biologically younger skin.”

Dr. Shira Orr, Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of FACTOR X

“Throughout my career, I’ve been exposed to countless beauty products, but FACTOR X represents something fundamentally different. When I learned about the science behind the company, it became clear that this wasn’t simply another cosmetic brand—it is a platform capable of changing the future of the beauty industry. Our vision isn’t to compete with existing brands, but to enable them by integrating our technology into the world’s leading skincare products.”
