Fairdinkum Consulting has integrated Abacus IT, a Southern California technology consulting firm, into its managed IT services organization. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The combination expands Fairdinkum’s presence on the West Coast while adding experienced technology professionals and strengthening its ability to support clients across the United States. Both companies focus on providing responsive, consultative IT services built around long-term customer relationships.
Founded in 2002, Abacus IT provides managed technology services to organizations throughout Southern California. The company has developed expertise in helping clients maintain reliable systems, address technology challenges and align IT operations with broader business goals.
Fairdinkum is based in New York City and provides managed IT support, cybersecurity and cloud solutions. The company helps organizations improve security, productivity and operational performance through ongoing technology management and strategic guidance.
Managed IT service providers typically oversee functions such as network administration, technical support, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and device management. Businesses use these services to supplement or replace internal IT capabilities while gaining access to a wider team of specialists.
Fairdinkum said the merger brings together organizations with similar operating philosophies. Both companies believe technology should support growth and simplify business operations rather than create additional complexity for clients.
Abacus IT founder and President Jirka Ambroz has joined Fairdinkum as a partner. He brings more than 25 years of experience building managed IT businesses, leading technical teams and developing long-term customer relationships.
The structure is intended to preserve the relationships and service model established by Abacus IT while giving its customers access to Fairdinkum’s larger workforce and broader technical capabilities. Existing clients are expected to benefit from additional expertise across cybersecurity, cloud technology and proactive support.
The Abacus IT integration supports Fairdinkum’s strategy of partnering with managed services organizations that complement its technical capabilities and client-focused culture. The company has previously completed strategic acquisitions of InnoLink Systems, Warren Systems Group and Tech 2020 Solutions.
Fairdinkum plans to continue expanding through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions. The company is focused on building a national managed IT platform while maintaining personalized service and practical technology guidance.
