Falcon Capital Investments has made a strategic investment in London-based energy and natural resources investment firm Pont Capital. The investment will make Falcon Capital a strategic shareholder in Pont.
Falcon Capital is part of the Falcon Family Office Group and is positioning the investment as a way to gain additional exposure to structural changes affecting global energy markets.
Pont Capital invests across both private and public markets.
Its focus areas include conventional energy, low-carbon electricity generation, sustainable infrastructure, and critical minerals.
These sectors are increasingly intersecting as electricity consumption expands and global governments and corporations prioritize energy security, electrification, industrial reshoring, and data center development.
Falcon said the investment gives it a position alongside a specialist investment team focused on energy and resources as demand for capital across those markets increases.
The companies are also positioning the partnership around Falcon Family Office Group’s broader strategy of connecting investment opportunities across Western and Eastern markets.
Pont’s investment mandate covers resources expected to play an important role in the next phase of global industrial development.
Traditional energy remains part of that strategy as supply security becomes more important, while low-carbon generation and sustainable infrastructure are attracting increasing amounts of capital.
Critical minerals are another central component as battery production, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, defense technologies, and digital infrastructure increase demand for specialized raw materials.
Falcon described the current environment as the beginning of a new energy supercycle.
The firm sees rising power consumption from electrification and data centers combining with limited supplies of certain energy resources and minerals to create long-duration investment opportunities.
The strategic stake provides Falcon with direct exposure to Pont’s sector expertise and investment pipeline as these trends develop.
