FastSpring, a digital commerce platform focused on payments, subscriptions, tax, and compliance management for software and digital product companies, announced a strategic investment from LLR Partners. Existing investor Accel-KKR will remain a financial backer of the company.
FastSpring operates as a merchant-of-record platform, enabling software, AI, SaaS, gaming, and digital product companies to manage global commerce operations while outsourcing payment processing, tax compliance, and international regulatory requirements.
The company said its platform is designed to help businesses scale internationally without needing to directly manage complex operational infrastructure related to payments, taxes, and compliance across multiple markets.
FastSpring was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, with additional offices in Amsterdam, Austin, Belfast, Dublin, Halifax, and Singapore. The company serves technology companies selling digital products globally.
According to the companies, the investment will support continued product development, expanded go-to-market initiatives, and broader strategic growth efforts focused on global digital commerce enablement.
LLR Partners is a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on software and technology-enabled businesses and has raised more than $7.5 billion across its investment funds.
Accel-KKR, a technology-focused investment firm with more than $23 billion in cumulative capital commitments, previously invested in FastSpring and will continue supporting the company during its next phase of growth.
The companies said global digital commerce trends, especially in software and AI markets, continue creating increased demand for platforms that simplify cross-border transactions and compliance management.
